One of the keys to spreading a computer virus is to find a way to get people to fall prey to the virus. Consequently, most computer viruses depend on social engineering/exploitation, as computer virus authors rely on porn, popular celebrities, cute kittens, offers of financial gain, and fear-mongering to get web surfers and e-mail recipients to click on dangerous web sites and file attachments.
